Just implemented Oracle OPM (Oracle Process Manufacturing) solution for a leading latin american company. Went live in April, and today spoke to the Customer CIO. According to him, this was 'one of the best ERP implementations that he has been a part of '.
Felt really proud. I am the project manager of this project.
And in the process of implementing the solution, learnt a lot of spanish in the bargain.
The project was quite tough. Contrary to the perceived laid back approach, the latinos are a tough bunch of real professionals. I have never seen the customer demanding so much of perfection, except when working with Tamil Brahmin customers in India implementations....
